Recent developments in vaccines targeting high-risk types of HPV have helped decrease the risk of developing HPV-related diseases and cancer precursors ( Joura et al., 2015). Human papilloma virus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) and is the primary cause of cervical cancer and other HPV-related cancers in women and men ( Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, n.d.). ![]()
